Lowell F. Miller, 85, of Dover passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 in the Community Hospice Truman House.

Born on June 23, 1936 in Shanesville, Ohio he was a son of the late Walter and Naomi Zeigler Miller. Lowell was also preceded in death by his brothers, Sylvester and Richard Miller; sister, Ethel Laubscher.

He entered the military in 1954 and served with the Army until his discharge in 1957. Following his military service, he worked for several different companies in the area, but retired from the former Twin City Concrete after 31 years of service. Lowell loved to spend time with his family at Cook’s Forest, Smokey Mountains, and going out to eat at local restaurants seeing all of his favorite waitresses and waiters. He also was an animal lover, and was especially fond of his dogs, Snoopy, Lassie and Angel.

A loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather, Lowell is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marie Leindecker Miller, whom he married on February 21, 1959; children, David (Marilin) Miller of Georgia, Debra Miller of Cambridge, Steve (Sandra) Miller of Dover; grandchildren, Marcus Miller, Julia Darby, Michael Miller, Tyler Miller, Greg Miller and many great grandchildren.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Dover Burial Park. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover is handling arrangements.
