Lorraine R. Kneubuehl

Lorraine R. Kneubuehl, 88, of Dover died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the Park Village Health Care Center.

In her early years, Lorraine worked for Firestone Rubber Company in Akron and the Sisters of St. Basil in Rockledge, PA. She also worked for the Ohio Department for the Blind and received Secretary of the Year honors for the Akron-Cleveland area.

Born January 21, 1922 in Akron she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ann McCauley Mattingly. Her son in law, Brian Gregg, also preceded Lorraine in death.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover and had been a member of St. James Catholic Church in Elkins Park, PA.

Lorraine is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, James E. Kneubuehl, whom she married on April 17, 1950. She is also survived by her beloved children, Kella Ann Gregg of Langhorne, PA, James II (Sharon) Kneubuehl of Woodbury NJ, Gary (Sally) Kneubuehl of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Katherine and Kyle and her cousin, Fr. Joe Monaghan of Chestnut Hill, PA.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. Matt Hoover officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover on Monday from 6-8 pm with Christian Wake services starting at 7:45 pm.
