Lorene F. Harper

Lorene F. Harper, 84, of Park Village Health Care Center and a longtime Winfield resident, died Monday, February 5, 2007 in the center.

Born November 1, 1922 at Sugarcreek she was the daughter of the late Elmer & Mary Flinner Bitikofer.

She was a member of the Winfield Zion Church, Child Conservation League and the ELC Women. She had also been active in Winfield PTA.

Lorene lived for her family. The annual Harper family trip to Canada was always something she looked forward to. She also had a special way with her grandchildren, and absolutely cherished her great grandkids.

Her husband, Ralph Harper, who died March 6 1989, preceded Lorene in death.

Surviving family members include: two daughters, Donna (Bob) Morris and Barbara DeBord, both of Dover; a son, Edward (Linda) Harper of Dover; three sisters, Bernice Coffy of Bowerston, Betty Stillwell of Westminster, CO, and Viola Glidden of Lexington, NC; two brothers, Elmer Bitikofer, Jr. of Sugarcreek, and George (Mary) Bitikofer of Bolivar; eight grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, a son-in-law, Dan LeBord, a brother and sister preceded Lorene in death.

Pastor David Lathrop and Rev. David Wing will lead a ceremony that celebrates Lorene�(TM)s life on Friday, February 9, at 11:00 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. Interment will be in the Union Hill Cemetery in Sugarcreek. Friends may call in the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
