Lois M. Carnahan

Lois M. Carnahan, 86, of Dover went home to be with the Lord, and all who went before, on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Union Hospital following a period of declining health.

She had retired from Marlowe's Drug Store.

Born November 27, 1922 in New Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Carrie Parson Goettge. Lois was also preceded in death by her husband, Neil Carnahan who died in 1988; two sons, Rick and Mac Carnahan, sisters, Martha Hattery and Dorothy Burgess; brothers, Harold and John Goettge.

She was a member of the First Moravian Church in Dover, Hope Star Circle and was involved with her Bible study group. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens and AARP. Lois was an avid Indians fan who also enjoyed reading and growing flowers. In her spare time she loved spending time with her sons and their families, as well as, her friends.

A wonderful mother and grandmother, Lois will be sadly missed by her sons, Alan Carnahan of Dover and Greg Carnahan of Stillwater; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Dover Burial Park with Dr. Terry Downin officiating. There will be no calling hours. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover are handling arrangements.
