Leroy A. Schie

Leroy A. Schie, age 80, a long-time resident of Strasburg, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018, in Hennis Care Centre, Bolivar.

Born February 1, 1938, he was the son of the late Arthur and Lucille Armbrust Schie. Leroy attended Garaway Local Schools and was employed for many years by Alsco- Sugarcreek, from which he retired. He later worked for Buckeye Protective Service, Canton. Leroy enjoyed bowling, fishing and traveling - especially bus trips.

Survivors include his wife, Jo-Anne Neidenthal Schie, whom he married on August 22, 1970; and his two aunts, Shirley Schie and Leona Armbrust.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 8, at 1:30 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Strasburg; Pastor Jason Rissler of Strasburg’s St. John United Church of Christ will officiate.
