Leo R. Norris, 83, of New Philadelphia died Monday, June 11, 2001 at Union Hospital following an extended illness.

He retired in 1985 from Clows Pipe Production at Coshocton after 40 years of service.

Born August 2, 1917 in Coshocton he was a son of the late Dewey and Ina Kimble Norris.

He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church at New Philadelphia. He was an avid bowler, and enjoyed camping at Seneca Lake.

Leo was preceded in death by his first wife Kathleen Norris and is survived by his second wife Donna Gindlesberger Norris with whom he would have celebrated 30 years of marriage on June 27, 2001.

He is also survived by four daughters: Zoe Ann and Ray Worthington of Conesville, OH
Carol and Glen Lautenschleger of Strasburg
Bonnie and Bill Swihart of Winfield
Debbie and Terry Gerber of Sugarcreek

Two sisters: Charlene Stubbs of Coshocton
Eva and Wilbur Donley of Coshocton

11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren

He was also preceded in death by a brother: Paul Norris

Sister: Leora Arbaugh

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2001 at 12:00 pm in Emmanuel Lutheran Church at New Philadelphia with Pastor Michael E. Walters officiating. Interment will be in Southlawn Cemetery at Coshocton. Friends can call at the Church one hour prior to the services on Saturday. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover is handling arrangements.
