Landon S. Abel

Landon S. Abel, 24, of Dover, took his own life at his home on Saturday, April 4, 2020.

He was born on April 30, 1995 in Canton, and was a son of Wilbert Abel and Kelly Green, both of Dover. Landon was a 2013 graduate of Buckeye Career Center; with great love and patriotism for our country, he proudly joined the United States Army at age 17. Following his discharge, he was employed at Gordon Milk Transport in Sugarcreek. Landon loved hunting, fishing, was an avid gun collector, and a history buff.

Landon was a wonderful and loving son, brother, uncle and friend who had a kind heart and was loved by everyone. In addition to his parents, Landon is survived by his siblings, Holly (Mike) Jones, Echo Abel both of New Philadelphia, Autumn Abel, Willow Abel (fiancé, Paul Miller), Miracle Abel all of Dover; half-sisters, Christina and Laura Abel both of New Philadelphia; nephews, Cyrelle, Dryden, Valen and Jensen; girlfriend, Susan; his best friend, Christopher Dreher and his family. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and his beloved dog, Justice.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. Private family services will be held at a later date.
