Kim S. Dipiero

Kim S. DiPiero, 57, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Kim had battled cancer diagnosed just a few short months ago.

Born, Sept. 17, 1952, in Long Beach, California, she was a daughter of Orrie and Geraine Gordon Bush of Oakhurst, California. Kim graduated from Whittier High School and went on to attend technical school in order to become a dental hygienist. Kim was employed as a hygienist in California, before coming to Ohio. In New Philadelphia, she worked for Sears, Roebuck & Co. as well as Rite Aid.

Kim was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who liked to garden planting, growing and tending beautiful flowers and vegetables wherever she lived. She had a warm, outgoing personality and enjoyed making people laugh. Kim was also fond of animals, rescuing, taking-in and caring for many dogs, cats and others over the years.

In addition to her parents, she will be sadly missed by her devoted husband, Michael DiPiero, whom she married on Jun. 25, 1983; three daughters, Heather Livingston of Coarsegold, California, and Ashleigh and Mackenzie DiPiero, both of New Philadelphia; two granddaughters, Brooke and Paige Gerber; a sister, Geri Lee Roy of Upland, California; and by three nieces.

Kim's family cordially invites friends to gather to celebrate Kim's life on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 7 9 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover. A brief ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m., officiated by Pastor Gregory Clay, with a meal to follow.
