Kenneth A. Page

November 19, 1938 — February 6, 2016

Kenneth A. Page, age 77, of Dover, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016, surrounded by his loving family in Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia.

Born November 19, 1938, at Dover, he was a son of the late Robert and Lydia Rentsch Page. Ken graduated from Dover High School and served honorably with the United States Army. Much of his service time was at the Pentagon where he worked with military intelligence. Following his discharge, Ken was employed by the Warner & Swasey Co. at New Philadelphia, and the company afforded him the opportunity to further his education at Fenn College, Cleveland. He retired from Warner and Swasey after twenty-five years of service, and went to work for Warren Fire Equipment, Inc. as a sales representative, a job he thoroughly enjoyed.

Ken was a member of Dover First United Methodist Church and the New Philadelphia Elks Lodge, and he served as an advisor for Junior Achievement. He faithfully visited friends in Park Village at Dover, and enjoyed working in his yard especially growing flowers.

Survivors include his daughter, Karen (Hal) Vinson of Pikeville, North Carolina; his granddaughters, Logan (Scott) Greene and Kallie Vinson; his great-grandson, Mason Greene (and another great-grandchild expected in June); his brother, Donald (Millie) Page of New Philadelphia; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Pat Cotton of Texas; his nephew and two nieces; and last, but certainly not least, his little dog, Ebony, whom he cared so much for.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife of forty-three years, Marla, on June 1, 2014.

Honoring Ken's wishes, he will be cremated, and a private graveside service will be held. To sign an online guestbook and share a fond memory of Ken, please visit the Obituaries and Flowers link on the Toland-Herzig website.

The family suggests that contributions in Ken's memory be made to Dover First United Methodist Church, 1725 N. Wooster Ave., Dover, OH 44622, or, Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
