Kathryn E. Studer

Kathryn E. Studer, 88, of New Philadelphia passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Union Hospital.

Born August 27, 1931 in Cuyahoga Falls, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Myrtle Cartwright Jenkins. Kathryn was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Studer of January 21, 2008; four brothers, Thomas, Neal, Dale and Ronny Jenkins; sisters, Ann Wood, Carol Wardell; and a grandson, Bryan McBeath.

Kathryn retired from Dover City Schools as a Teacher’s Aide after 20 years of service. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. A strong woman of faith, Kathryn loved the Lord and was a devoted member of the New Life Church of God in Dover.

She is survived by her children, Debra (Jim) McBeath of East Sparta, Sharon (Dave) Wade of Bolivar, Susan (Randy) Goldsmith of Dover, Dan (Bonnie) Studer of Stone Creek; brother, Donny Jenkins of Dayton; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A service celebrating Kathryn’s life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Kathryn may do so by visiting the online obituaries link on the funeral home’s website.
