Judith L. Devore

Judith L. DeVore, 75, of Dover passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, June 16, 2011.

Born on June 26, 1935 in Wheeling, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Carole Mobley Ralston.

She was a 1953 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. She retired in 2000 from the Ohio Department of Transportation District 11 office where she was a Personnel Officer for over 28 years.

She was a member of the Tuscarawas County Democratic Women's Association. Judith was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate through the years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James C. DeVore and ex-husband, James R. DeVore.

She will be sadly missed by her children; Barbara J. (husband, Lester) Miller of Dalton, OH, Jon C. (wife, Ella) DeVore of Dover, Jamie R. (wife, Lisa) DeVore of Girard, OH; seven grandchildren, Shannon (husband, Dan) Helfinstine, Andrew Miller, Rebecca (husband, Roy) Bowen, J.R. DeVore, Nicholas DeVore, Alexander DeVore and Alexa DeVore.

In honoring Judith's wishes, cremation will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover. A private family graveside service will be held at Dover Burial Park at a later date. There will be no calling hours.
