Josephine ''Jo'' Host

Josephine ''Jo'' Host, 76, of Dover died Thursday, October 25, 2001 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital at Roanoke, Virginia following a sudden illness.

She retired from Wychert Realtors in Paoli, Pa after 20 years of service, and had also been employed with Abelson and Carlson Realtors in Cleveland. She was currently working part-time in the Gift Shop at Warther's Museum.

Born July 18, 1925 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Carl and Anna Warther Meese.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover and the Martha Circle. She had also been a member of Paoli Presbyterian Church. She was involved with the Eastern Star, where she served as Worthy Matron, Meals on Wheels, winter golf league, bowling league, Tourist Club of Dover, Junior Clinonian Club, Wilkshire golf league and was in the Million Dollar Club with Wychert Realtors.

Jo was preceded in death by her husband Robert H. Host who died on February 8, 1990.

She is survived by two sons: Bobby (Janet) Host of Phoenix, AZ
Jeff (Paula) Host of Cleveland

Daughter: Debbie (Mike) Owens of Exton, PA

Sister: Ruth Ream of St. Louis, MO

Sister-in-law: Dorothy Meese of Dover

Six grandchildren: Danielle, Kristen, Jeffrey, Robert, Jason and Heather.

Two great grandchildren: Braxton and Braden.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Bob, John, George and William Meese

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2001 at 11:00 am in the St. John's United Church of Christ at Dover with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover on Thursday from 6-8 pm.
