Helen Florence May

Helen Florence May, 82, of Dover, Ohio died peacefully in her sleep at home on December 29, 2017 after a brief illness. She was born in Akron, Ohio to Homer and Rhoda Stiles. She married Ronald L. May on January 21, 1955. She is survived by her husband; three children, Deborah C. Sparks (Steven), Robert M. May (Alicia), and Evelyn L. Houston (Brian); eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and one sister (Louise Stiles). She was preceded in death by one brother (Charles) and two sisters (Mae and Dorothy).

She and Ron have enjoyed 63 years of marriage. They value their six-decade history of pastoral ministry. Nine of those years she and her husband served in this area as pastors of the Dover Foursquare Church.

Their greatest satisfaction and fulfillment was found in their three children. They loved and cherished their grandchildren and took great delight in their character and accomplishments.

Helen loved working with children. She has respectfully requested that there be no public services. You are invited to celebrate her memory by prayerfully contemplating these scriptures:

Dear friends, now we are children of God,
and what we will be has not yet been known.
But we know that when He appears,
we shall be like Him for we shall see Him as He is.
