Harry W. Butler

Harry W. Butler, 77, of Dover passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 in the Community Hospice Truman House.

Born April 16, 1941, he was a son of the late Harry and Louise Toth Butler. Harry was also preceded in death by a daughter, Bettie Ann Cedarville; brothers, Don and Richard Butler.

He retired from the City of Dover, having worked 35 years in the Electrical Department. Harry was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Dover Elks and Eagles Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating and spending time with his grandchildren.

Harry will be sadly missed by his wife of almost 55 years, Susan Steely Butler, whom he married on May 31, 1963; daughter, Becky (Greg) Marsh of Dover; grandchildren, Ryker (Kara German) Marsh, Taylor (Zach) Rafter, Lucas and Lexus Marsh, Christine and Jonathon Cedarville.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 10 at 11:00 am in the Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Donald Rice officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Wednesday from 5-7 pm.
