Gregory L. Straub

Gregory L. Straub, 57, of Dover passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Akron General Medical Center.

Born April 6, 1961 in Dover he was a son of Delmar Straub of Dover, and the late Jean Baker Straub. Greg was also preceded in death by his brother, Rick Straub.

He was employed at Dover Middle School as a Custodian and Bus Driver; Greg was devoted to his job, and being around the kids always made his day more enjoyable. He had a great sense of humor, and loved spending time with his family; Greg also enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

In addition to his father, Greg is survived by his children, Justin Straub of Georgia, Kristin Straub of Middleburg Heights; sister, Beth Cadle of Dover; former wife, Dalene Straub of Canton and his former in laws, Dale and Anne Bayer.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A service celebrating Greg’s life will be held on Thursday, January 17 at 5:00 pm at the funeral home with Jamie Blickensderfer officiating.
