Grace E. Reigle

Grace E. Reigle, 92, of New Dawn Health Care and Retirement Center at Dover and formerly of Sugarcreek and New Philadelphia died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002, in the center.

Born July 12, 1910, in Sugarcreek, she was a daughter of the late Aarron and Elizabeth Schmidt Middaugh. Grace attended Sugarcreek schools and married Moses R. Reigle on Sept. 9, 1929. She was employed as a clerk for Mishler�(TM)s I.G.A. of Sugarcreek. Grace and Moses moved to New Philadelphia in December 1991, and Moses died the following September.

Grace was a member of the Church of the Brethren at Sugarcreek where she often sang at church services, including weddings and funerals. She loved her family and enjoyed caring for them.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol (Charles) Beaver of Wintersville; three sons, Richard L. Reigle of Southaven, Miss., and Kenneth K. “Butch” (Charlotte) Reigle and Gordon R. Reigle, both of New Philadelphia; 17 grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carl (Helen) Middaugh of Sugarcreek.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, at 2 p.m. in Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery at Sugarcreek.
