Glenn Allen Keplinger

Glenn Allen Keplinger, 86, who resided near Winfield, died Monday morning, May 12, 2003 in the Park Village Health Care Center at Dover.

He was born on November 28, 1916 in Crooked Run Valley to Carl J. and Maud L. Stull Keplinger.

Mr. Keplinger was an educator, beginning as a teacher in Mt. Healthy School near Strasburg and continuing his career at the Fesseden School in West Newton, Massachusetts, the Fieldston School in New York City, and the Buckley School, also in New York City. He attended the St. Ignatius Episcopal Church there.

Upon retirement from Buckley, he returned to the family farm home near Winfield which he shared with his sister, Florence Ellen Keplinger, who survives.

There will be no calling hours. At his request, a service of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, May 14, at 2:00 p.m. in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg with Pastor Lu Ann Youngman and Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating.
