Gertrude R. Keller

Gertrude R. Keller, age 101, of Oxford, Florida, and a former resident of Largo, Florida, and Dover, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 27, 2014.

Born March 11, 1912, in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Clara Kreiter Becker. Gertrude attended school in Dover, and then moved to Pittsburgh. There, during the Second World War, she was a driver for the American Women's Volunteer Services, and later, she worked as a realtor, a secretary, and as a gifted designer for the Pittsburgh Woman's Industrial Exchange.

Following her retirement, Gertrude returned to Dover where she volunteered for many years at Union Hospital. In 2005, she moved to Largo, where she again gave of her time and talents at Clearwater's Morton Plant Hospital.

She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor (Robert) Stevenson of The Villages, Florida; her three grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Priscilla Engel of Beach City.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Paul J. Keller, her two sisters and her one brother preceded Gertrude in death.
