Gerald L. Gintz

Gerald L. Gintz, 70, of Dover, died Sunday, November 19, 2000 in the Hennis Care Centre after an extended illness.

He retired in 1986, after 30 years of service from the Dover Light Plant, where he had been supervisor.

Born July 10, 1930 at Dover, he was son of the late Harold & Bessie Walton Gintz.

Gerald was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover and had also been a member of the Dover Elks Club and Dover VFW. He was an Army veteran who served during the Korean conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne C. Yanity Gintz whom he wed on October 20, 1954.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by a daughter.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 22, at 10:30am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. A reception will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center following services. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover on Tuesday from 3-5 & 7-9pm. Christian Wake services will be held at 8pm.
