George Olaionosiu

George Steve "Scooter Steve" Olaionosiu, 65, of New Philadelphia passed away at Union Hospital on Thursday, June 14, 2012 following an extended illness.

Born on October 18, 1946, in Dover, he was the son of the late George and Helen Mears Olaionosiu.

Steve first worked for Superior Dairy, and later worked at a radio station and as a car escort. When Steve could no longer work, he spent every day at New Towne Mall. Through his years at the mall, he obtained the name "Scooter Steve." He met many close friends including; Bev Taylor, Judy Garner, Brie Fuller, and Mike Ondrusek.

A celebration of Steve's life will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 11:00 am with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 10-11.

Steve's memory will live on through organ donation.
