Gail E. Rossi

Gail E. Rossi, 84, of Dover passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 in the Community Hospice Truman House.

She was born on August 15, 1936 in Ragersville and was a daughter of the late Ralph and Alverda Emig Zimmerman. Gail was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Rossi on March 13, 2018; sisters, Dola Shanower, Arlene Matchett; and a brother, Dwight Zimmerman.

Gail was a dedicated homemaker who had also worked at Buehlers and the YMCA. She was a 1954 graduate of Dover High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Joe’s Senior Citizens. She was also involved with the YMCA, Friends of the Library and the Tuscarawas County Senior Citizens.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Gail is survived by her children, Stephen (Annette) Rossi of Florida, Michael (Cyndi) Rossi of Copley, Linda (Alan) Little of Dover; grandchildren, Thomas (Erin) Rossi, Jeffrey (Ashley) Rossi, Gregory (Stephanie) Rossi, Kyle Rossi and Katherine Little; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Lucas, Emma, Rylan, Adriana, Josephine, Zosia, Santino, Mariella Rossi; brother in law, Don Matchett; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 20th starting at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery. Following the burial, a luncheon will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. The family will be greeting friends on Wednesday from 5-7 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with a Christian Wake service starting at 6:45.
