Freda M. Rennicker

Freda M. Rennicker, 87, of Dover, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, in Union Hospital, Dover, following a brief illness.

Born Jul. 16, 1919, in Belmont County, OH, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Lula Tolle Howell. She moved with her family and at a young age to Tuscarawas County, where she attended the Wooster Highway School. Freda wed Forrest Rennicker on Dec. 19, 1942, in the parsonage of St. John�(TM)s Evangelical United Brethren Church, Dover. The couple were parents to two children and spent fifty-seven wonderful years together before Forrest�(TM)s death on Sept. 6, 1999.

Freda was employed for a number of years by the Puritan Laundry, New Philadelphia, and had fond memories of the people she met during her time there. She also worked for Chuck�(TM)s Chicken and the Karl Nursing Home, both at Dover.

Freda was a member of the Bolivar Wesleyan Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, who will be sadly missed by her family.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Pittman of Dover; a son, Donald (Linda) Rennicker also of Dover; grandchildren, Karen (Christopher) Brinkley, Beth (Lanny) Alborn, Greg (Becky) Rennicker and Lisa (Tom) Kazelman; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Joshua Atkinson, Brent and Curtis Rennicker, and Justin and Logan Kazelman; a brother, Roy Dale “Toady” Howell of Dover; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, and her beloved husband, Forrest, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Jean Howell.

A funeral service celebrating Freda�(TM)s life will be held Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Bolivar Wesleyan Church with Rev. Jeff Mansell officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens, Dover.
