Evelyn A. Duncan

Evelyn A. Duncan, 63 of New Philadephia died Saturday, September 4, 1999 at her daughters home in New Philadelphia following an extended illness.

Born January 16, 1936 in Pence Springs, West Virginia she was a daughter of the late William Lee and Erma Gartin Hodge.

She was a member of the Dover VFW Auxiliary.

Evelyn is survived by her husband Herchel Duncan with whom she celebrated five years of marriage on April 22, 1999.

She is also survived by five sons:  Jerry Rawhn
                                                        Mark and Cindy Rawhn
                                                        Dennis and Lynn Rawhn all of Canada
                                                        David and Rhonda Duncan of Dover
                                                        Thomas and Patricia Duncan of New Philadelphia

Three daughters:  Paula Simpson of Maryland
                             Holly Rawhn of Canada
                             Susan Pryor of New Philadelphia

Three brothers:  Bill and Nancy Hodge
                           Don and Betty Webb
                           Frank and Betty Webb all of New Philadelphia

One sister:  Mabel Kimble of New Philadelphia

19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren

She was also preceded in death by a son: Jamie Rawhn

Three grandchildren:  Joshua and Melissa Rawhn
                                    Vanessa Duncan

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 1999 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating.  Interment will be in the Ridgecrest  Memory Gardens.  Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County.
