Erlamond Belle Schultz

August 21, 1921 — December 25, 2011

Erlamond Belle Schultz, 90, of Newcomerstown died Christmas afternoon, 2011 at the Riverside Manor with her family by her side. It was a wonderful gift for Erlamond to receive eternal peace on such a special day.

Born August 21, 1921 in Reno, Pennsylvania she was a daughter of the late Charles and Edith Elizabeth Butler Pennington. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Jane Toth and Elizabeth Saulsgiver.

In November of 1988 she experienced a major stroke at her home in Coral Gables, Florida. She stayed three months in Baptist Hospital and then her daughter, Cheri, brought her to Riverside Manor in February 1989. Riverside became her home and the staff became her extended family. Most of the past 22 years were happy and active ones for Erlamond, and that's a great tribute to the nurses, staff, volunteers and fellow residents, both past and present. They cared for her with professionalism, compassion and love. Her family will be sincerely and forever grateful.

Erlamond accomplished much in her life, both personally and professionally. Her family treasures beautiful memories. She was a wonderful mother to her two daughters, Cheri (Dave) Johnston of Dover and Jayne (Tommy) Elliott of South Boston, Virginia; three grandchildren, Alexandra Pennington of New York City, Dave (Leah) Johnston Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama and Matt (Susan) Johnston of Gillette, Wyoming and four great grandchildren, Clay and Mary Grace Johnston and Logan and Lily Johnston.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. There will be no services or calling hours. Erlamonds ashes will be spread at the Dover Burial Park Scattering Gardens at a later date. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Erlamond may do so by visiting the on line obituaries and flowers link on the funeral homes website.

The family would also like to thank Community Hospice for their extraordinary and compassionate care that was given to Erlamond and would like to have any memorial donations be made to Community Hospice at 201 West 3rd St. Dover, Ohio 44622.
