Elizabeth E. "Liz" Springhetti

Elizabeth E. “Liz” Springhetti, 77, of Dover passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 in the Park Village Health Care Center.

Born April 26, 1940 in Canton, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Cecelia Brennan Witmer. Liz was also preceded in death by her brother, Norman Witmer.

She retired in 2002 as the Bookkeeper for AJ Weigand in Bolivar after 29 years, and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Liz was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who loved reading, cooking, gardening and was the family connoisseur of nursery rhymes.

Liz will be sadly missed by her husband of 56 years, Robert “Bob” Springhetti whom she married on November 11, 1961; children, Sherri (John) Patterson of Medina, Lynn Sablar of Dover, Bob (Juli) Springhetti of Medina; grandchildren, Kelsey and Dustin Patterson, Tyler and Paige Springhetti, Kristina Sablar, Tessa Kalt; brother, William (Mary) Witmer of Canton and sisters, Mary Ann Jackson of Massillon and Margaret Dvorsak of Independence.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 27th at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Monday from 5-7 pm with Christian Wake services starting at 6:45.
