Edythe G. Rittenour

Edythe G. Rittenour, 76, of New Philadelphia died Friday, August 30, 2002 in her home following a sudden illness.

Born January 29, 1926 in Uhrichsville she was a daughter of the late Burt and Minnie Shroyer Edwards.

She was a devoted Republican, who belonged to the Republican Party for many years. She also enjoyed reading, gardening and sewing.

Edythe was preceded in death by her husband Emmett Rittenour who died on August 14, 1997.

She is survived by three sons: Jon (Glenda) Rittenour of North Canton
Dee (Patricia) Rittenour of Matthews, North Carolina
Jay Rittenour of New Philadelphia

Two sisters: Emma Helwig of Beach City
Betty Dougherty of San Jose, California

Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren

She was also preceded in death by a sister.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2002 at 1:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Harry Milligan officiating. (Services are being held in Dover because of the renovations being done to the New Philadelphia facilities.) Following the service a reception will be held at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
