Edward M. ''Eddie'' Johns

Edward M. “Eddie” Johns, 75, of Dover, died Tuesday, April 22, 2003 in Aultman Hospital after a long illness.

He retired from R & F Coal at Cadiz in 1989, having worked for 43 years in the industry with several area firms.

Born August 28, 1927 at Massillon, he was son of the late Homer “Mack” and Edna Snyder Johns.

Eddie enjoyed walking and loved being outside taking his strolls through Dover City Park. He was a “Mr. Fix-it” who had many skills and was talented in fields such as carpentry, plumbing and electricity.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doreen Landis Johns, whom he wed on August 26, 1948.

Eddie is also survived by his children, Sandra “Sandy” Johns and Randy Johns both of Dover.

A public graveside service will be held Friday, April 25, at 11:00 a.m. in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover on Friday from 10:00 a.m. �" 10:45 a.m.
