Rev. Dr. Albert H. Frank, 63, of Niesky, Germany died February 4, 2008 in his home following a brief illness.

Born December 5, 1944 in Riverside, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Harry and Jean Frank.

He recently retired as a pastor for the Moravian Church where he served as Assistant Archivist of the Moravian Church in the Northern Province. He served the church in numerous capacities and was an adjunct professor at the Moravian Theological Seminary. He was a published author of numerous Moravian historical and musical books.

He served as the former Pastor of the First Moravian Church at Dover. While serving at Dover, he was a board member and Past President of the Ohio Outdoor Historical Drama Association and Past President and member of the Dover Kiwanis Club.

He is survived by his wife, Erdmute D. (Enkelmann) Frank and children, Jean (Don) Richardson of Dover, Robert (Bridget) Frank of Milmont Park, Pa., Eric (Danielle) Frank of Bethlehem, Pa., Allen (Janelle) Frank of Bangor, Pa. and Erdmute Frank of the home. He is also survived by three grandchildren and a sister along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 3:30pm in the First Moravian Church at Dover. Burial took place on February 14 in Germany.
