Doris K. Straub

Doris K. Straub, 91, of Strasburg passed away peacefully on Monday, August 9, 2021 in the Park Village Health Care Center.

She was born on August 15, 1929 in Strasburg and was a daughter of the late Lee and Mary Steitz Robinette. Doris was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Straub on September 12, 2017; son, Jeff Straub; sisters, Helen Ball, Marie Lampe; and brother, Carl Robinette.

Doris was a 1947 graduate of Strasburg High School, was a long-time member of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg, where she taught Sunday school, and in her younger years, she served as a 4-H advisor. Being a stay at home mother was her greatest joy, she loved taking care of her family.

A loving mother and grandmother, Doris is survived by her children, Valerie Straub, Terry (Vicky) Straub; granddaughter, Katie (Justin) Might; great grandchildren, Ryan and Andie Might all of Strasburg; brother in law, Delmar Straub of Dover and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 12th starting at 11:30 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at 140 South Bodmer Ave., Strasburg with Rev. Jason Rissler officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
