Doris "Jeannie" Rothacher

Doris "Jeannie" Rothacher, 79, of New Philadelphia died Thursday, July 2, 2015 in her home.

Born June 2, 1936 in New Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Hazel Grund Mowls. Jeannie was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Rothacher on January 26, 2000; great granddaughter, Casey Rothacher; sister, Marjorie Mowls and four brothers, Lloyd "Red", Frank, Joseph and Donald Mowls.

Jeannie retired from New Philadelphia High School as a custodian after 25 years of service. She was a member of the New Philadelphia VFW Auxiliary and loved reading, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards with her family and friends.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Roxann Rothacher and Eugene "Buster" (Sarah) Rothacher; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 11 at 11:00 am in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Following the service, a luncheon will be held in the Church of Christ at 749 Commercial Ave., SW, New Philadelphia.
