Doris G. Rohrer

Doris G. Rohrer, 74, of Strasburg, Ohio went to be with Jesus, the One she loved and served, on April 25, 2000 in the Hennis Care Centre.

Born July 16, 1925 in Louisville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Emma (Rauh) Rohrer.

She taught at Peniel Christian School in Beach City and she dearly loved her students. She was a member of the Peniel Holiness Church where she served as a board member, Sunday Schoolteacher, Song Leader, and Sunday School Superintendent. She enjoyed reading books and her Bible, loved Southern Gospel Music, loved people, and was involved in Missionary work.

She is survived by her brothers, Eugene Rohrer of Louisville, Earl Rohrer of Wilmot, and sister, Beulah Senneff of Louisville, many nieces, nephews, great nieces& nephews and her very dear friends, Glenna Knight, Stan and Pat Sherman, and Cindy Horne. She also loved the nurse’s aides from the Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nellie Rohrer and niece, Barbara Rohrer.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in the Peniel Holiness Church at Beach City with Rev. Rodney McBride officiating. Interment will be in the Valley Chapel Brethren in Christ Cemetery at 1045 Trump Ave., NE, East Canton. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Friday from 6-9 PM.
