Donna Croft Norris

Donna H. Croft Norris, 91, of the Park Village Health Care Center and formerly of New Philadelphia died Friday, February 13, 2009.

Born July 7, 1917 in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Emma (Geioque) Gindlesberger.

Donna owned and operated the former Croft Floral and Gift Shop in Baltic for over twenty years.

She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Philadelphia where she was active in the Rebekah Circlee and the Alter Guild. She previously attended the St. John Lutheran Church in Baltic where she was a Sunday School teacher and member of the choir, church council, and Luther League Advisor. She was Past President and member of the Baltic American Legion Auxiliary, West Lafayette Order of Eastern Star, and life member of Alta Scharf Missionary Circle.

Donna was preceded in death by her husbands, Ward Croft and Leo Norris.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol (husband, Glen) Lautenschleger of Strasburg, Bonnie (husband, Bill) Swihart of Winfield, and Debbie (husband, Terry) Gerber of Sugarcreek; a stepdaughter, Zoe Ann (husband, Ray) Worthington of Conesville; two brothers, Weldon (wife, Pauline) Gindlesberger of Millersburg and Clyde (wife, Peggy) Gindlesberger of Dover and a sister, Dorothy Mackey of Wooster along with nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Florence Deemer, two brothers, Ralph and Kenneth Gindlesberger, and a step grandson.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 2pm in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Philadelphia with Rev. Stephen Patrick officiating. The family will be present from 1-2pm. At Donna's request, she will be cremated and burial will be held at a later date in the Southlawn Cemetery in Coshocton.
