Delbert H. "Bud" Keffer Jr., 67

Bud Keffer, 67 of Dover, a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away, Sunday, March 7, 2010 at his home
following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born October 16, 1942; the son of Delbert H. Keffer Sr. and Geneva (Davis).

He has resided in Dover the past 20 years and previously at Sugarcreek.

Bud married the former Barbara Cooper, November 24, 1991. He retired from the Belden Brick Company in October of 2004 after having worked 38 years 8 months and 1 day, as Superintendent of plant 9, formerly Shepler-Moomaw. He was employed with Ross Clay, five years prior. He was an avid hunter, sporting clays enthusiasts, and card player. Bud was also a member of the Sugarcreek Sportsman Club, a lifetime member of
the NRA, and an honorary member of the Tusky VFW.

Survived by his wife of 18 years of marriage, Barbara J. Keffer of Dover; his mother, Geneva Keffer of Port Washington; 2 daughters, Bonnie (David) Kandel of New
Philadelphia and Wanda McLaughlin of Dover; 1 step-daughter, Jacqueline (Henry) McNutt of Dover ; 1 son, Del (Kim) Keffer of New Philadelphia; 1 step-son, Jeff
(Reid) Springhetti of Richburg, SC; 5 grandchildren, T.J. Meechan, Seth Meechan, Kayleigh Kail all of New Philadelphia, Ashley Contini of Dover and Danny Keffer of New Philadelphia; 1great-granddaughter Alaynnah Contini; 3 step-grand children, Briana Hickman of New Philadelphia, Tiffany Gasche of Dover, and Seth Gasche of Ashland; 3 sisters, Gilda (Gene) Carothers of Uhrichsville, Taffy Keffer of Gilmore
and Tess Keffer of Port Washington; 1brother, Ken (Judy) Keffer of Garland, TX; 2 nieces, Angela (Earnest) Cody of Lavon, TX and Hollie Oswald of Dennison, and 1 nephew Brandon Keffer of Akron.

Preceded in death by his father, Delbert H. Keffer Sr., an infant sister, Hilda, and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Keffer.

Services will be held, Friday, March 12, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home with Pastor Duane Wilbur officiating. Interment will be in Dover Burial Park. Friends may call, Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 5 to 8 in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
