Dave ''Bub'' Edwards

Dave “Bub” Edwards, 72, of Strasburg died Saturday, October 26, 2002 at Aultman Hospital following a brief illness.

He retired from his family business; Edward�(TM)s Trucking in Strasburg, after spending his entire life in the trucking business.

Born April 17, 1930 in Dover he was a son of the late John and Mae Westbrook Edwards Sr.

A 1948 graduate of Dover High School, he was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg where he served on church council. He was also a member of Strasburg Lions Club and the Newcomerstown Elks, as well as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. His favorite pastimes included building and flying model airplanes, traveling, camping and boating.

Dave is survived by his wife Carol Lauber Edwards with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage on April 22, 2002.

He is also survived by three sons: Rick (Susan) Edwards of Strasburg
Steve (Renee) Edwards of Glasgow, Kentucky
Bob Edwards of Strasburg

Two brothers: John (Dorothy) Edwards Jr. of Dover
James “Pete” Edwards of Dover

Sister: Virginia “Tootie” Wilcoxon of Dover

Six grandchildren: Joey Godsey, Justin, Rob, Chris, Angela and Amy Edwards.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg with Rev. Gerald Schuessler officiating. Interment will be at Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Monday from 6-9 p.m..
