Dale F. Schoelles

Dale F. Schoelles, 82, of Dover died Sunday, September 17, 2000 at the Hennis Care Centre following a brief illness.

He retired in 1983 from Empire Detroit Steel after 44 years of service.

Born December 21, 1917 in Dover he was a son of the late Henry and Anna Myers Schoelles.

He was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ in Dover, Life member of Dover Elks Club and was a 1936 graduate of Dover High School. He was an avid sports fan having loved to watch football, play tennis and fish. He also enjoyed gardening.

Dale is survived by his wife Hazel Pfouts Schoelles with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage on July 20, 2000.

He is also survived by a daughter: Pam and David Shaffer of Dover

Two grandsons: Scott and Matthew Shaffer of Dover

He was also preceded in death by a son: Gregory D. Schoelles.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2000 at 2:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
