Daisy Irene Taylor

Daisy Irene Taylor, 90, of Dover died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 19, 2004 at New Dawn Retirement Community.

Born May 21, 1913 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Lebbeus and Estella Putt Wallick.

She was a 1932 graduate of Dover High School and was a member of the Senior Citizens and AARP. Daisy was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed crafts, riding her bike, animals and gardening. She also enjoyed helping her late husband, James H. Taylor, run the Taylor Bakery in Dover for many years. She and James were married for 52 years until his death on October 25, 1989.

Daisy will be sadly missed by her three children, Terry (Patty) Taylor of Dover; Bruce (Sharon) Taylor of New Philadelphia and Patty (Terry) Polka of New Philadelphia

In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by a son, H. “Calvin” Taylor; two brothers, Robert and Bruce Wallick; sister, Mildred Anthony; aunt and uncle, Calvin and Belle Border.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2004 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Interment will be at Dover Burial Park. Following the burial a reception will be held at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 pm.
