Charles P. Meininger

Charles P. (Chuck) Meininger, 82, of 6567 Wallick Drive N.W., Dover, Ohio died Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at Union Hospital following an apparent heart attack.

Charles retired as a Press Operator for the Columbia Fire Brick Company where he worked for over 40 years.

Born October 25, 1918 in Strasburg, Ohio, he was the son of the late John and Bertha Hoffman Meininger.

He was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ at Strasburg and was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during World War II.

He is survived by his wife Millicent (Millie) Oberdick Meininger with whom he would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on April 27.

He is also survived by a sister, Melba Hague of Wooster
One niece Bonnie Brown and a nephew Dr. Dale Hague.

A foster daughter, Betty Hartman of Arlington, Va. And a foster son, Donald Hartman of Fairfax, Va.

He was preceded in death by a half sister, Florence Mason and a half brother, Ralph Kohl.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, Feb. 19, 2001 at 2:00 PM in the St. John United Church of Christ at Strasburg with Rev. Gerald Schuessler officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends will be received at the church Monday from 1-2 PM.
