Charles L. Tadiello

After fighting a lengthy and courageous battle following surgery, Charles L. "Chuck" Tadiello, 75, of 124 Poolside Lane, Dover departed from this earthly life on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in Aultman Hospital at Canton.

Chuck retired in 2005 as Vice President of Human Resources at Union Hospital where he worked for over fifteen years. He spent most of his professional life in healthcare and manufacturing.

Born January 7, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Ella (DiRenzo) Tadiello.

He was a member of numerous professional organizations including the Ohio Hospital Association, and served two terms as President of the OSHHRA (Ohio Society of Hospital Human Resource Administrators.) He was also a member of the Union Hospital Retirees Assn., Cleveland Council of Employee Relations, and served on the board of directors of the Tuscarawas County Senior Center. Chuck was an outspoken conservative and spent hours watching Fox News. He had many other interests over the years including coaching youth baseball and football and enjoyed occasionally playing a round of golf. He was proud to have caddied Arnold Palmer years ago. He was a huge Cleveland sports fan. Chuck received his Bachelors degree in business from John Carroll University and remained a supporter of John Carroll over the years.

He is survived by his wife Barbara (Brandts) Tadiello with whom he would have celebrated 33 years of marriage on November 28; five children, Nicolette (husband, Darren) Thieding of Aurora, Daniel (wife, Larissa) Tadiello of Mayfield Heights, Mark (Tricia Grams) Tadiello of Medina, Andrea Tadiello of Dover, and Vincent (Elizabeth Warner) Tadiello of Dover; three grandchildren, Tyler, Keaton, and Grant Thieding; and a sister, Adrianne (husband, Dale) Zachowski of Mayfield Heights.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by a sister and brother in law, Sandra and Michael Courtney and his father in law and mother in law, Tom and Doris Brandts.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 10am in the Our Lady of the Lake Church in Euclid with Fr. Joseph Fortuna officiating. Entombment will follow in the All Souls Cemetery in Chardon. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover on Friday (today) from 4-8pm and Saturday at the church from 9-10am.
