Charles F. Grewell

Charles F. Grewell, 78, of Dover died Sunday, April 27,
2008 in Union Hospital in Dover after a short illness.

Born July 31, 1929 in Dover, he was the son of the late
Sylvester and Edna Wiegand Grewell. He married the love
of his life, Betty Hennis Grewell, on December 23, 1949.

Charles retired from Montgomery Ward in Dover and also
worked at Fred Potschner's Ford and Dover Appliance. He
was a member of the Dover Moose Club for over 50 years.
He loved gardening and enjoyed sharing fresh vegetables
with his family.

In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by; three
sons, Robert (wife, Linda) Grewell of New Philadelphia,
Roger (wife, Carla) of Dennison, and Mark (wife, Syl)
Grewell of New Philadelphia; a daughter, Valerie (husband,
William) Buckohr of New Philadelphia; two brothers, Daniel
(wife, Mary) Grewell of Dover, and Richard Grewell
formerly of Dover, as well as twelve grandchildren and
fifteen great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by; his brother, Patrick Grewell;
his sister, Dorothy Vandyke; his mother and step-father-in
law, Catherine and Raymond Swauger; father-in-law, Stewart
Hennis; his brother-in-law, John Hennis; his sister
in-law, Esther McDade, and a nephew Richard McDade.

In honoring Charles's wishes, cremation will take place.
A graveside service will be held at Ridgecrest Memory
Gardens in Dover with Pastor Edward Scaglione officiating
on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 1:30 pm. The Toland-Herzig
Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover are handling the
arrangements. Following the service, friends and family
are invited back for a time of fellowship at their home.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, monetary
donations be made in Charles name to the Dover Moose Lodge
