Charles F. Flemister, 83, of New England Rd., New Philadelphia, Ohio died Tuesday, July 18, 2006 in Amberwood Manor, New Philadelphia following an extended illness.

Charles was a retired employee at Sparta Mfg. Company.

Born June 2, 1923 in Georgia, he was the son of the late Virgil and Vassie Flemister.

He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Dover.

Survivors include his cousins, Rev. Paul Flemister of Georgia and Vergie McGowan of Buffalo, New York. He is also survived by his guardian and friend, George Houston of New Philadelphia.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Berniece Flemister.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 24, 2006 at 1pm in the First Baptist Church of Dover with Rev. Christopher Lowery and Rev. Robert Sherrell officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the church from noon until 1pm on Monday.
