Carolyn C. Miller, 76, of 1531 N. Walnut St., Dover, Ohio died Monday, September 4, 2000 at Union Hospital following an extended illness.

Carolyn was the former librarian for the Tuscarawas County Bookmobile.

Born August 21, 1924 in Morgantown, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Thelma Cooper Cole.

She was a member of the New Philadelphia Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Tuscora Club and Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority. She was a 1941 graduate of Martins Ferry High School. She enjoyed bicycling and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband William A. (Bill) Miller with whom she celebrated 54 years of marriage on June 11.

Two children Judith Miller of Strasburg and James (Rebecca) Miller of Dover.

Three grandchildren Adam, Abby, and Alix Miller

One Brother Kenneth (Barbara) Cole of Texarkana, Texas and her sister in law, Irene Cole of St. Clairsville, Ohio and two nieces, Mrs. Carl (Christine) Dale and Kathleen Chini both of St. Clairsville.

A Public Memorial Service will be held Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000 at 7 PMin the First Presbyterian Church in New Philadelphia with Rev. Mark Behrendt and Rev. Stuart Barr officiating. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date. Cremation will take place with inurnment in the Garden of Peace Mausoleum at Dover Burial Park.
