Carol J. Tristano

Carol J. Tristano, 67, of Dover, died Jan. 19, 2005, in Union Hospital. Her death was due to Wegener�(TM)s Granulomatosis, a rare respiratory disorder.

Born Christmas Day, 1937, in Dover, Carol was a daughter of Leroy Kenneth Tschudy of Kentucky, and the late Pauline Clark Tschudy Welch. She graduated New Philadelphia High School in 1955. Carol was a homemaker �" a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an excellent seamstress who also enjoyed crocheting. She cooked, baked, and liked to paint and make small articles for her home and the homes of others. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Dover.

Besides her father, survivors include her husband of forty-eight years, Richard “Dick” Tristano; a son, Richard K. (companion, Julie Christiansen) Tristano of Dover; two grandchildren, Tara and Ryan Tristano; step-mother, Jean Tschudy of New Philadelphia; two sisters, Betty Berge of Costa Mesa, CA, and Nancy Gerew of Glendora, CA; former daughter-in-law, Donna VanNatter of Dover; and best friend, Jackie Sandy also of Dover.

In addition to her mother, Carol was preceded in death by her step-father, Glen Welch.

Carol�(TM)s life will be celebrated in a service Saturday, Jan. 22, at 11 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover. Fr. William L. Arnold will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dover. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday (today), Jan. 21, 6 �" 8 p.m. A Christian wake service will be held Friday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
