Carol J. Edwards

Carol J. Edwards, 88, of Strasburg passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Inn at Northwood following an extended illness.

Born March 17, 1930 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Charles and Erma Hare Lauber. Carol was also preceded in death by her husband, Dave “Bub” Edwards on October 26, 2002; brother, Richard Lauber and a great granddaughter.

She was employed at the family business, Edwards Sales and Service at Strasburg for many years; and was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg. Carol enjoyed sewing Barbie clothes, baking, quilting, traveling in their RV, shopping and spending time with her family. She and Bub loved to travel, especially to her favorite place, Walt Disney World in Florida.

Carol is survived by her sons, Rick (Susan) Edwards, Bob Edwards both of Strasburg, Steve (Renee) Edwards of Glasgow, Kentucky; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 23 at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Jason Rissler officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 pm.
