Carol F. Schupbach

Carol F. Schupbach, 69, of Dover died Friday, August 29, 2014 at Union Hospital following a period of declining health.

Born October 25, 1944 in Mineral City, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Virginia (Blakley) Barnhart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a son, Jerry; a sister, Debbie Klaus, a granddaughter; three infant siblings and her mother and father in law Harry A. and Alice Lydia Schupbach.

Carol was a member of the Dover VFW Auxiliary, Tuscarawas County Senior Citizens, Sandyville Eagles and was Past Queen of the Pioneer Power Association. She had many interests having enjoyed hobbies and crafts and was known for her cake decorating having made many wedding and birthday cakes. She was also an animal lover.

She will be sadly missed by her family including her husband of 51 years, Harry E. Schupbach. They were married on March 13, 1963; five children Sherry (Mike) Blosser of Orrville, Mary Schupbach and her companion Ben Soto of Dundee, Larry (Marlene) Schupbach of Dover, Terry (Rose) Schupbach of Minerva and Garry Schupbach of New Philadelphia; four brothers, Chuck, Ron, Gary and Terry "Butch" Barnhart and two sisters Jane Martin and Susan Barnhart. In addition, she is survived by 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; sisters in law, Alice Petrullo of Dover and Sue Miller of Strasburg and many nieces and nephews.

Rev. Kevin Anslow will officiate a celebration of Carol's life on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 beginning at 1pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. A reception will follow in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8pm.
