Carlos Cedillo Santiago, 36 años de edad, de Dover, falleció inesperadamente el lunes, 7 de noviembre, 2022, en el Hospital Cleveland Clinic Union, adonde lo llevaron en el momento de enfermarse.


Nació el 7 de junio de 1986 en Xexuxcap, Nebaj, Quiché, Guatemala. Era hijo de Jacinto Cedillo Reynoso y Petrona Santiago Jacinto de Xexuxcap. Carlos vino a los Estados Unidos hace 20 años buscando una vida mejor. y vivió en Dover todo ese tiempo. Primero trabajó en Case Farms, donde llegó a ser supervisor, y actualmente trabajaba como soldador en American Highway Products en Bolivar.


Carlos se casó con Cecilia DeLeon Guzman en noviembre de 2011, y fue un esposo y padre cariñoso. Fue trabajador y amable y ayudaba a todo el mundo. Era muy querido en la comunidad. Su muerte es una gran pérdida. Carlos fue miembro de la Iglesia Latina en Dover.


Además de sus padres y su esposa Cecilia, le sobreviven sus hijos Sara Petrona, Esperanza Feliciana and Jacinto Isaac Cedillo DeLeon; sus hermanos Pedro, Roberto Juan, Gaspar Josue, Magdalena, Juana, Rosalina and Anabella Cedillo Santiago.


Su hermana Rosa Cedillo Santiago ya había fallecido.


El servicio funerario para Carlos será el domingo, 13 de noviembre a las 3 de la tarde en la Iglesia Latina, 120 N. Tuscarawas Ave., Dover. La visita será el domingo de 2:00 a 3:00 y de 6:00 a 7:00 de la tarde en la iglesia. Carlos será sepultado más tarde en su aldea Xexuxcap.

Carlos Cedillo Santiago, age 36, of Dover, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Monday, November 7, 2022, in Dover’s Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital, where he was taken after becoming ill.


Born June 7, 1986, in Xexuxcap, Nebaj, Quiche, Guatemala, he was a son of Jacinto Cedillo Reynoso and Petrona Santiago Jacinto, both of Xexuxcap. Carlos came to the United States 20 years ago in search of a better life, and had resided in Dover all of that time. He first worked at Case Farms, where he attained the position of supervisor, and he was presently employed as a welder by American Highway Products, Bolivar.


Carlos married Cecilia DeLeon Guzman in November, 2011, and was a loving husband and father. He was hard-working, helpful, genial and was well-liked by the community. His death is a great loss. Carlos was a member of Iglesia Latina in Dover.


In addition to his parents, and his wife Cecilia, he is survived by his children, Sara Petrona, Esperanza Feliciana and Jacinto Isaac Cedillo DeLeon; his brothers and sisters, Pedro, Roberto Juan, Gaspar Josue, Magdalena, Juana, Rosalina and Anabella Cedillo Santiago.


He was preceded in death by his sister, Rosa Cedillo Santiago.


A funeral service for Carlos will be held Sunday, November 13, beginning at 3 p.m., in Iglesia Latina, 120 N. Tuscarawas Ave., Dover. Visitation will be Sunday, 2 - 3 p.m. prior to the service in the church, and again 6 - 7 p.m. afterward. Burial will be later in his home village of Xexuxcap.
