Bonnie J. Maher

Bonnie J. Maher, 83, of Somerdale, passed away at Akron City Hospital on Saturday, January 28, 2017.



Born in Strasburg on February 20, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Doris (Rexroad) Deibel. She graduated from Dover High School with the class of 1951.



On March 28, 1953 she married James D. Maher, who preceded her in death on July 11, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her son in law; Tom Yablonski; brother, Dale Deibel; and her sister, Marilyn Harman.



Bonnie worked at Reeves Bank until 1955 when she became a stay at home mom. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.



She will be sadly missed by her daughters; Mona Yablonski of Somerdale, Marsha (Mike) Greene of Somerdale, and Molly (Lynda) Maher of Canton; sister in law, Pat Deibel; brother in law, Lee Johnson; grandchildren, Ryan (Kim) Kramer, Corey (Stacie) Kramer, Mark (Michelle) Yablonski, Tyler (Samantha) Greene, Shaun (Cassie) Greene, and James "Cole" Maher; 10 great grandchildren, Jake, Cameron, Carly, Uriah, Valin, Genevieve, Conner, Kaylee, Avery, and Maya; along with her cousin and best friend, Melda McAnulty.



A celebration of Bonnie's life will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11:00am with Pastor Peter Price officiating. Interment will take place next to James at New Cumberland Cemetery. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the Fairfield Fire Department. Friends can call at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
