Betty E. Heid

Betty E. Heid, 78, of New Philadelphia died Monday, September 4, 2006 at Union Hospital.

Born May 31, 1928 in Martins Ferry, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Albert and Lela Davis Swad.

She was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Uhrichsville and in her spare time she enjoyed playing cards and exercising.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Heid who died on April 6, 1999.

She is survived by a son, John (Kathy) Heid of New Philadelphia; three brothers, Bill (Sally) Swad of Columbus, Charles Swad of Georgia and Eugene Swad of South Carolina; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Heid; daughter, Linda McNutt and two brothers, Kenneth and Albert Swad.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Tom Geissinger officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7 pm.
