Bertha Irene Link

Bertha Irene (Moose) Link 73, of 2892 Circleview Drive N.W., Dover, Ohio died Tuesday, January 2, 2007 in the Hennis Care Centre following an extended illness.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.

Born March 9, 1933 in Birds Run, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Hazel McConkey Moose.

Bertha was a member of the Alpine Bible Church in Sugarcreek. She enjoyed birdwatching and cooking and was a former 4H advisor. She used her home for missionaries staying in the area and loved and enjoyed people.

She is survived by her husband, Ed “Peck” Link with whom she would have celebrated 53 years of marriage this June 6; She is also survived by her son, David Link and his companion, Estella Underwood of New Philadelphia; two daughters, Julie (Kenny) Wade of Dennison and Judy (Mark) Lewis of Strasburg; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Jenny, Janelle, and Jill May, Amanda, Angela and Andrew Lewis, and Sarah (Link) Reynolds; four great grandchildren, Monique, Kalee, Skylar, and Briana; three sisters, Nora Tolbert of New Philadelphia, Pauline Ruby of Cambridge, and June (Marion) Abel of Cambridge; three brothers, Leroy (Peg) Moose of Cambridge, Fred “Bud” Moose of Cambridge and Roger (Lawanda) Moose of Columbus.

In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Moose.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 8, 2007 at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover with Jack Stahl officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. A reception will follow in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County or the Alpine Bible Church in Sugarcreek.
