Baltazar Chamay Gomez

Baltazar Chamay Gomez, 64, a resident of New Philadelphia, died tragically Friday, September 11, 2020, in a pedestrian-motor vehicle accident in New Philadelphia.

Born February 24, 1956, in San Juan Cotzal, Quiche, Guatemala, he was the son of the late Maria Gomez and Miguel Chamay Sanchez. Baltazar came to the United States some 15 years ago to better provide for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Juana Rodriguez Torres, and his children, Francisco Samuel, Maria Alicia, Ana Lidia, Pedro Noe, Juan David, Rosa Abigail, Ana Nohemi, Maria Debora, Miguel Moises and Juana Drusila Chamay Rodriguez.

Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 6 - 8 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. Burial will be in San Juan Cotzal.

As in all times of difficulty - and there have been so many terrible situations of late - members of the community and local churches are working together to help meet the needs of the bereaved family. Baltazar Chamay Gómez, de 64 años, residente de New Philadelphia, falleció trágicamente el viernes 11 de septiembre de 2020 en un accidente automovilístico en New Philadelphia.

Nacido el 24 de febrero de 1956 en San Juan Cotzal, Quiché, Guatemala, era hijo de los difuntos María Gómez y Miguel Chamay Sánchez. Baltazar llegó a los Estados Unidos hace unos 15 años para proveerle una mejor vida a su familia.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Juana Rodríguez Torres, y sus hijos, Francisco Samuel, María Alicia, Ana Lidia, Pedro Noe, Juan David, Rosa Abigail, Ana Nohemi, María Debora, Miguel Moisés y Juana Drusila Chamay Rodríguez.

El velorio será el viernes 25 de septiembre, de 6 a 8 p.m., en la funeraria y crematorio Toland-Herzig, Dover. El entierro será en San Juan Cotzal.
