Atty. Thomas G. Watson

Atty. Thomas G. Watson, 43, of Dover, Ohio died Sunday, September 17, 2000 in Aultman Hospital at Canton following injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near Millersburg.

He was a practicing attorney in Dover and was currently the Law Director for the City of Dover.

Born September 12, 1957 in Dover, he was the son of Kenneth and Louise Mizer Watson of Dover.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Dover Elks and Moose lodges. He enjoyed coaching baseball and basketball in the Dover youth leagues. He was an active member of the Tuscarawas County Democratic Party and member of the Cleveland Zoological Society. He was formerly an Assistant to the Attorney General and former Prosecutor in Tuscarawas County. He also was a former attorney for the Ohio State Patrol. He was a 1976 graduate of Dover High School and received his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University and his law degree from Ohio State University. He loved his children and his dogs and was fond of all animals.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Kelley Conway Watson with whom he celebrated 14 years of marriage on May 24.

Three sisters and one brother Barbara (Beau) Fuger of Dover, Sam (Hilda) Studer of Port Washington, Sallie (Ralph) Jones of Jupiter, Florida and Luann (Fritz) Wieland of New Philadelphia and his father and mother in law Conard and Rita Conway of Mt. Vernon, Ohio along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 10 AM in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Christopher Lowery officiating. Cremation will take place. Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8 PM.
